change ring

This organisation provides a team of experienced ringers for the Cathedral tower bells and fosters local interest in the art of change ringing, as well as being a mix of mild exercise, team-work, and mental challenge in learning the "methods". The team meets regularly for practice on  Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm - 9.00pm, and Sunday service ringing from 9.25am - 10.20am, and events outside Dunblane are a regular occurence, mainly organised by the Scottish Association of Change Ringers. Those new to ringing, of any age, can be taught from scratch.

history

The Society meets at Dunblane Cathedral Halls at 7.30pm on the third Tuesday of the month in September, October, November, January, February, and April. Currently the March meeting is a joint one with the Civic Society and is held in the Victoria Hall on the second Monday in March.  We have a speaker each month who usually deals with a topic of local interest - check out the What's On calendar for details of each meeting.

Visitors are welcome to our talks with an admission charge of £2.00 for non members that includes tea/coffee and biscuits.

We regret that the Society has no capacity to assist with historical research. Any such enquiries should be submitted to Dunblane Museum instead, though it should be noted that the museum is entirely volunteer run and their facilities are limited.
