If you're curious as to what the work is going on beside the dual carriageway opposite Duckburn then it looks like it's to do with an upgrade to sewers and flood defences in Dunblane.  The full details from Scottish Water are www.scottishwater.co.uk/In-Your-Area/Investments-in-Your-Area/Dunblane

Dunblane Museum reopened on 3rd July 2021.

Due to a lack of volunteers, this will initially be on Saturdays only from 10.30 to 3.30

A Dunblane house has reached the final of Scotland's Home of the Year Show.  The final will be this Wednesday on BBC Scotland followed by Monday on BBC1.  The house has wowed judges by its collection of 70s furniture and artefacts.  It has also made amazing use of access to wooded areas behind the house.  You may recognise the location from the programme, but we're not planning to give anything away!

Because of current government Covid restrictions our volunteer collectors are unable this year to call on you to uplift your Christian Aid envelope. Instead, we would invite you to donate to the work of Christian Aid using one of these two methods: Use the dedicated online Just Giving page for the Dunblane Christian Aid Group. You can find this at: www.justgiving.com and search for ‘Dunblane Christian Aid’. Put a donation in your envelope and drop it off at either of these two shops on Dunblane High Street: Charisma, 2 High Street or Meldrums Newsagents, 34 High Street THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY Christian Aid Scottish charity number SC039150

E-Books from Stirling Council Libraries are moving to a new platform

Access to digital e-books and audiobooks will switch from RBdigital to the Libby app on Tuesday 23 February, 2021.

Libby is a free, award-winning app where library members can continue to borrow and enjoy digital content from their public library.

Readers will still be able to access their current downloads on RBdigital for the length of the lending period for each title, even if that date goes past the switchover on 23 February.

However, after this point users will have to download and sign up to Libby to browse, borrow, and enjoy all the same great e-books and audiobooks which were available in the RBdigital app from Stirling Libraries.

There will be some downtime in the RB Digital app in the afternoon of the 23rd February during the switchover.

For more information, visit: https://www.overdrive.com/RBdigital-transition-preview

Download the Libby App here: https://www.overdrive.com/apps/libby/

Fiona grew up in Dunblane and attended Dunblane High School. In the podcast we speak about her journey going from an amateur to professional; champions league nights; life playing for FC Rosengård in Sweden; the highs and agonising lows of playing at Scotlands first ever World Cup last year; as well as her opinion on the current state of women's football.

She is part of the Scotland team that has help pave the way for future generations...and speaks about how she didn't really have many role models she could look up to where she could think "I want to be a professional just like them" growing up in Scotland.
We would really appreciate if you are able to check out the episode and share it also, as we are sure many from the area will be interested to get an insight into Fiona's journey!
