The Holmehill Group are pleased to see that the owner,Ian Stirling, has now started the reinstatement works on Holmehill that have been ordered by Stirling Council following his illegal felling of trees on the top of Holmehill in June. 

Following the vigorous action taken by Holmehill group members and other members of the community, Stirling Council have taken tough action to ensure the restoration of the damaged woodland on the top of Holmehill is carried out.  This will provide an improved environment for both people and wildlife.

It is hoped that the whole of Holmehill will become the subject of a Woodland Management Plan to conserve the site and improve its amenity value for the whole community, and that Stirling Council will continue to press Ian Stirling to manage the site to improve its value to the community.
