Dunblane Community Paths Map

Community Paths mapThe new Dunblane community paths map is now available (free!) from various local outlets including the library, the museum and some High Street shops.

The map describes six walking routes in and around Dunblane, ranging from a three-mile loop taking in Baxter’s Loan and Hillside, to a pleasant seven-mile walk out to Ashfield and Kinbuck (and back).

There is also lots of great information on local points of interest such as the Cathedral and the battleground at Sherrifmuir.

The 2013 edition was funded by a Stirling Council Community Pride Fund grant to Dunblane Community Council, who also received a grant from Forth Valley NHS Health Promotions Department. (Partners for the original 2009 edition were Dunblane Civic Society, Stirling Council Countryside Services, Scottish Natural Heritage, Forth Valley NHS Health Promotions Department and Paths for All.)

Walking is a great way to stay active and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Now that summer’s here, it’s the perfect time to pick up a copy of the map, get some fresh air and explore the local area!
