Music for a Summer Evening - a concert presented by Dunblane Cathedral Handbell Ensembles in Dunblane Cathedral on Sunday 9 June at 7.30pm
Celebrate a number of musical anniversaries with music performances by the multiple groups of Dunblane Cathedral Handbell Ringers, including Abba's "Waterloo" (50th anniversary of its Eurovision Song Contest win), "Moon River" (centenary of birth of Mancini), "Theme from the Moldau" (200th anniversary of the birth of Smetana), Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" (200th anniversary this year of its premiere in 1824), "Pavane" (centenary of the death of Faure), and much more! All performed on Scotland's largest range of handbells. So come along, sit back and enjoy the sweet sounds and synchronised movement of sparkling handbells making music for a summer evening.
