BBC Radio 2 in the Park
Radio 2 in the Park took place from 11 to 13 September in Stirling City Park with Texas, Lulu, ABC and the Script on Saturday followed by Decon Blue, James Blunt and Simple Minds along with many other bands. The Lord Provost of Stirling, Weigh Ahead’s Rosie Fraser was there to welcome people to Stirling.

Commentary from both the Radio 2 DJs and people at the event was universally that the venue was fabulous and the atmosphere superb. The event was very well organised and the City coped well with the crowds of roughly 40,000. Taxi companies had organised to split their drivers between north and south to avoid the closed roads in the area. All in all, a great weekend for Stirling.
