High School Culture Day on 16 June

Preparations are well under way for Dunblane High School’s Culture Day, which will be held on Tuesday 16th June.

So far, we have 15 confirmed stalls which shall be set up in the Murray Hall, with the potential for a couple more to be added in due course.

Stall themes include Japanese music, Cantonese writing tutorials and Maori word pronunciation. Each year group will spend one period in the hall in order to explore the different stalls.

Alongside this, each faculty have created lessons which link their subject area and culture. So far we have a range of lessons including the aerodynamics of a boomerang, how multinational corporations adapt to different cultures and an exploration of Japanese Shintoism.

During period 7 of the day, from 15:05 to 15:55, we would like to take the opportunity to invite members of the community into school to explore for themselves the different stalls which have been developed by pupils, staff and community partners.
