There is an opportunity to help plant snowdrops on Holmehill over the next couple of weeks. There are 27,000 bulbs to plant so it's an opportunity for lots to get involved. Information shared by Dunblane in Bloom is below. It seems to be a case of coming whenever you are available and finding a space to plant. As the bulbs are 'in the green' it will be possible to see where people have planted on previous days and not go over the same ground.

We will need to all be flexible in current circumstances - definitely an occasion to go with the flow and just see how many turn up - must all keep our social distance. First planting takes place Saturday 6h March and will continue the following weekend 13th March. Might also be worth bringing a bucket or trug to carry the bulbs in.

Key info for volunteer planters:

Please turn up any time between 10am and 1pm on Saturday to plant 27000 snowdrops on the south facing top upper hillside facing the Braeport.

Please bring light gloves, masks, and either dibbers or narrow hand trowels. Use these tools to form small planting holes for groups of 5 or so snowdrop bulbs across the entire hillside.
