This page used to provide an index to all Chris Spray's Wildlife blogs: the first was posted in February 2009, and the last in July 2018.   Chris would visit the hill usually monthly and note the birds he saw and heard.   Once home he'd write down the list of birds, and also write a short note describing the wildlife.   The note and the list would then be posted in the Holmehill web blog.   There's more detail about Chris' method here.

The Holmehill blog was separate from the Holmehill website, and both were discontinued when Holmehill Limited ceased activities in 2018.   The files for the website were archived (and you are reading a copy now).   The content of the blog, on the other hand, is unfortunately no longer accessible.
