Riverside

As two passionate professionals with a long history in pubs, hotels and restaurants, it is our aim to share our love of food, drink and above all good times with you. Our journey began in the mid-nineties with us having since worked in nearly every position, both front of house and in the kitchens, in some of Scotland’s best hotels, pubs and restaurants. It has taken us to many different parts of the world and all over the British Isles during the last 20 years. Deciding to turn our vision of the perfect pub into bricks and mortar, we chose wonderful Perthshire, a captivating part of Scotland that is home to a wealth of incredible foods, food producers, breweries and distilleries. Since taking over the old Stirling Arms, we have been working hard to transform the building into a truly special pub, restaurant and coffee house. Whatever reason you may have for visiting us – a healthy or hearty breakfast, a coffee with home-baking beside our wood burning stove or downstairs with the kids in the play area, fantastic food with family in our restaurant, a glass of wine or a local beer with friends in our bar or on the riverside terrace - we assure you of a friendly welcome from staff who care. The Riverside really is our dream come true and we look forward to welcoming you through its doors in the near future. Jo & Stu

Deanston distilleryDeanston Distillery sits by the River Teith 10 minutes from Dunblane, close to Doune. Having been a cotton mill for 180 years, Deanston was transformed into a distillery in the 1960’s and has been distilling whisky using traditional methods ever since. Visit us and experience the sights, smells and sounds of a true working distillery and we will show you how we hand craft our great whisky which is sweet, fruity with a malty honeyed spiciness on the palate.
