Dunblane Community Partnership is holding a meeting for all community organisations in Dunblane to tell them more about the draft Community Action Plan, hear their views and how they can be involved.

On Monday 20 February at 7.30pm

In the Braeport Centre

Get involved : We also want to discuss how community organisations could work together in the future. Let us know what you think! Does the draft Action Plan cover the important issues – have we missed anything? We want to make sure that more people can be involved in making the activity in the Action Plan happen. Please get involved – let us know the skills you have and what interests you.

Working groups : We are planning to set up working groups to take some of the actions forward – watch out here for more information. We will update this site regularly with news on what’s going on. We want to make sure that all households have a copy of the Community Action Plan once it is finalised– so look out for a copy coming through your door – or where you can get one.

Discover Dunblane are bringing back the magnificent Christmas Extravaganza again this November with late night shopping, entertainment and the chance to meet Santa and his reindeer.

Dunblane’s local independent retailers will be showcasing everything the town has to offer with extended opening hours from 5pm until 9pm on Thursday 27th November 2014.  There will be festivities galore for everyone to enjoy so why not come along and experience our winter wonderland.

Our celebrity guest, Judy Murray will open the event in style by taking a ride through Dunblane High Street with Santa and his reindeer who have been generously sponsored for the third year running by the FES Group.  The Cathedral bells will then ring out to signify the start of the evening’s merriments and welcome all to this magical event.

Children can visit Santa and his elves in his Grotto and post their Christmas lists in Santa’s specially made Golden Post-box – if an address is included Santa will even return a personal reply.  Children will get the chance to chat to Santa and his elves and have a picture taken as a lasting memento of the occasion.

There is a full programme of events for all to enjoy, with lots to see and experience including, bell ringers, carol singers, choirs and even acrobatic elves.  With help from dancing star Judy Murray the streets will be decked full of entertainment and fun. We are delighted to again have the support from the Dunblane Development Trust, to help ensure the event runs smoothly.

All of Dunblane’s bars and restaurants will be open and there will be a fantastic choice of hot food and drinks available to help get everyone in the Christmas spirit.  The shops will feature exclusive special offers and promotions and with a wide choice of independent retailers your Christmas stockings can be filled with unique and varied presents that will be sure to bring Christmas cheer.

Dunblane is easily located and there is free parking on Perth Road and the two main car parks located close to the High Street.  If you are planning to come by train, Dunblane train station is at the heart of Dunblane High Street and all the festivities.  For more information about the event visit www.discoverdunblane.co.uk or like us on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
